Today I want to talk about being real on instagram. For me instagram isn't exactly real. The pictures I post are of asanas I regularly practice but if I posted a video of my regular practice it would be messy and sweaty I would stop and start and some of the poses just don't look good! When I take these photos I am in a flow but of course I hold the aesthetic poses for longer so I can get some good pictures. And for every picture I post there are probably 10 of me looking awkward mid-flow or falling out of a pose. . I post these pictures in the hopes that they can inspire people to practice and so I can inspire and encourage myself with my progress. It is a way of me documenting my journey and it just so happens that I enjoy taking pictures and making them look pretty along the way. That isn't to say that I photoshop anything - I never want to show anything completely fake and give people unrealistic expectations - I just like to mess around in lightroom with colour settings! . Anyway this was quite a long caption for me what do you think about this? Do you like being inspired by nice yoga pictures or do you wish more people would post their real everyday practice? I will say that I also follow a lot of people who do that and I find it equally inspiring but it would be interesting to hear other people's thoughts . . . . . . . #realyoga #trueyoga #yogaphotography #yogaphotos #asana #yogaart #yogaselfpractice #yogaprogress #yogagirl #yogaselfpracticetribe #yogalove #yogafitness #yogaflow #vinyasa #vinyasaflow #ashtangayoga #yogaposes #yogapose #meditation #happiness #yogaforpeace #yogalife #positiveenergy #happyyogi #yogaspiritlove #mindbodysoul #atpeace #selfappreciation
